2. Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park

The National Park is located on the Big Island. The park has two active volcanoes: Kilauea, the most active volcano in the world and Mauna Loa, the world’s most massive shield volcano.

3. Poipu Beach

Aside from spending the day relaxing, you can also try doing some watersports. Taking some surfing lessons there are must for everyone who visits these beaches.  

4. Haleakala National Park

The Haleakala National Park is located in Maui, and it’s 10,023 feet above sea level. It was named after Haleakalā, a dormant volcano. The part is divided into the Summit area and the coastal Kipahulu area. 

Also, don’t forget to visit the Haleakalā Observatory. It is a very fun place to visit, especially if you’re traveling with your kids. 

5. Waimea Canyon and Koke’e State Park

Also known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, a visit here should be on any Hawaiian itinerary. The Waimea Canyon is located on Kauai Island and is 14 miles long. You’ll also be able to watch spectacular scenery that will make your jaw drop.

If you’re planning on visiting the Waimea Canyon, you should also consider exploring Koke’s State Park.
